What is metallic epoxy?
Metallic epoxy is clear resin mixed with pearl-like pigments. We pour it over a ground and primed slab, then work it with rollers, brushes, and sometimes solvent sprays to move the pigment. Every floor comes out a little different, so no two look exactly alike.
Where does metallic make sense?
- Show garages and car collections where the floor is part of the look.
- Home gyms, bars, and game rooms built in converted garages.
- Retail and office spaces that want something eye-catching.
If you are planning coating for a storefront or showroom, we can plan the layout around traffic paths and fixtures.
What should you know before choosing metallic?
Metallic floors are smooth and glossy, so they show dust and can be slippery when wet. We can add an anti-slip additive to the topcoat. They also need a very flat, clean slab, so prep and patching are a bigger part of the price. If you like the look of bare stone but want less upkeep, a bare ground-and-polished slab is another option.
Metallic epoxy FAQs
Can I pick the colors?
Yes. We blend base and accent pigments and can show you sample panels first.
How long does it take?
Most metallic floors take two to three days with prep and cure time between coats.
Does it scratch?
Any glossy floor can scuff. A hard clear topcoat helps a lot, and felt pads under furniture help more.
